Vedic Meditation

Vedic Meditation uses a particular type of mantra (mind vehicle), to trigger deep rest (deeper than sleep) in the mind and body. You simply sit comfortably, close your eyes for 20 minutes and let the mantra, and the body's own healing intelligence, do the work for you.

Meditation shouldn’t feel like just another thing on your endless list of to-dos. I teach meditation that doesn’t demand space in your busy schedule – it creates it.

Our students are meditating with back support on their couches, in their car, sitting up in bed, on yoga mats, or in their favourite chairs. Why? We know that an uncomfortable body creates a noisy mind. A comfortable body creates optimal conditions for the mind to naturally settle into calmer, quieter, subtler states of awareness.

Across this 4-session course, we focus on knowledge, technique, and eyes-closed meditation time. On completion of the course you’ll graduate as a truly confident, competent, and self-sufficient meditator with a meditation practice to last for life.

We begin with a 5-minute ceremony to honour the ancient wisdom from which meditation originates. Then, I’ll teach you a basic meditation technique and guide you to developing your own personal mantra (a simple sound, used silently in the mind).
In this session, we meditate right from the beginning. Most people immediately experience a sense of mental refreshment, a feeling of deep inner calm, and a quieting of the mind – often for the first time in their lives.
You will be encouraged to meditate at home later that day. This is the beginning of gently integrating your practice into 'real life.'

In this session, we build on your knowledge, understanding, and technique. You’ll learn more about how Vedic works and what makes it different from other meditation styles.
I’ll show you how to unlock the power of your mantra – transitioning your practice from high-effort to meditation that feels easy, effortless, and enjoyable.
To close off the session, we’ll move into the practical 'real world' aspects of meditation in daily life. We’ll plan where, when, and how you can meditate in a way that gives you results and works for your personal lifestyle.

We continue to refine and develop your understanding of the technique to facilitate deeper, more blissful meditations.
You’ll learn about the role of thoughts in meditation and the mind-body connection.
Together, we’ll take a look at the neurobiology of stress and how the profound level of rest from meditation creates tangible shifts within your mind, body, and being.

This is the deep dive.
In this session, we discuss everything from the wisdom of the Veda (the knowledge of life) and what it means to embrace expansive states of consciousness.
We’ll explore how meditation enhances self-awareness, creativity and clarity. I’ll share with you some incredible eye-open practices (for times outside of your meditation practice) designed to positively shift your perception and deepen your connection to self.
There's a difference between learning to meditate and actually meditating regularly. I’ll get you set up for long-term consistent meditation – because that's where the true transformation lies.
